A new Spectromancer version is available. As usual, i am currently reporting all changes this version has brought.
It seems this Spectromancer release has focused a lot on balancing the cards.
8 May 2008
It's been over 5 weeks since we released the Spectromancer client with Multiplayer Capability. Since the release there have been a lot of updated made to both the client and the Spectromancer server.
Some of the updates in this version include:
* The latest art work
* Rebalanced cards
* Updated mechanics
* Fixes to address security concerns
* The ability to track "achievements" for those who purchase the full version.
If you have an older version of the client and you wish to update your client, select Multiplayer, log on and you will be prompted to update your client. If this doesn't work, uninstall your current version, and go to www.spectromancer.com and download the latest version (version 0.3.1). Then install the client and you should be back up and working.
As before, this version of the client allows you to play online against other Spectromancer players as a Cleric or Illusionist, as well as allow you to play a Cleric or Illusionist in both the first 1/3 of the campaign and in single player mode where you play against the computer. In order to play Spectromancer online you will need to download the latest client and create an account in order to play Multiplayer. If you have a Forums account on this community, you will be able to use that account to play Multiplayer and will not need to create a new account. The ability to create an account is built into the client.
In the Multiplayer version of Spectromancer you will can play one-on-one or coordinate tournaments. As we move forward with development we plan to allow special tournaments on maps with unique characteristics that will impact how the game plays! As we make available these different features, we'll announce the changes both on www.spectromancer.com as well as on the forums.
To get the Spectromancer Free Beta or to learn more about Spectromancer, go to www.spectromancer.com. We'd also ask that you report any bugs, issues or problems you encounter with the Spectromancer client on the Troubleshooting/Bugs/Customer Service forums found here:
